کراچی : ایڈمنسٹریٹر کراچی ڈاکٹر سید سیف الرحمن نے کہا ہے کہ دنیا کو ماحولیاتی تبدیلیوں کے چیلنج کا سامنا ہے، ماحول متوازن اور صحت مند رہے تو انسان اور حیوان بھی صحت مند رہیں گے،وقت کا تقاضا ہے کہ ہریالی میں اضافہ کرکے آلودگی کو کم سے کم سطح پر لایا جائے، کراچی جیسے بڑے شہر میں پانی اور توانائی کے ضیاع کو روک کر بہتر منصوبہ بندی کے ذریعہ بہتری لائی جاسکتی ہے، پاکستان ڈیویلپمنٹ فورم کے عہدیدار اور رضا کار وں کی موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں کے حوالے سے خدمات قابل تحسین ہیں، دیگر اداروں کو بھی اس اہم ترین مسئلہ کی طرف توجہ دینی چاہئے تاکہ ہم اپنے ملک، صوبے اور شہر کو بہتر بنا سکیں، یہ بات انہوں نے ہفتہ کے روز اپنے دفتر میں پاکستان ڈیویلپمنٹ فورم کے ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر عمیر انصاری کی سربراہی میں ملاقات کے لیے آنے والے وفد سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہی، ایڈمنسٹریٹر کراچی نے اس موقع پر عالمی یوم ماحولیات کے حوالے سے ویب نار کے انعقاد اور ماحولیات کے حوالے سے آگہی کی فراہمی میں کردار ادا کرنے والے پاکستان ڈیویلپمنٹ فورم کے عہدیداران اور رضا کاروں میں اسناد بھی تقسیم کیں، ایڈمنسٹریٹر کراچی ڈاکٹر سید سیف الرحمن نے کہا کہ اس سال عالمی یوم ماحولیات کی تھیم پلاسٹک کی آلودگی کا خاتمہ اور ماحولیات کو بہتر بنانا تھا، پلاسٹک کے متعلق ہم سبھی جانتے ہیں کہ یہ انتہائی کار آمد ایجاد ہے جس نے ٹیکنالوجی کو بھی بہتر کیا ہے مگر اس کا ایک بار کا استعمال قابل تشویش ہے کیونکہ اس کی وجہ سے ماحولیاتی اور خاص طور پر آبی آلودگی میں بے انتہا اضافہ ہوتا چلا جارہا ہے لہٰذا ہمیں اس کے استعمال کو کم سے کم کرکے روایتی طریقوں کی طرف آنا ہوگا، ہمارے ملک میں جنگلات کا تناسب 4 فیصد سے بھی کم ہے، اس لیے ہمیں چاہئے کہ زیادہ سے زیادہ درخت لگائیں اور ان کی نشونما اور حفاظت کا انتظام کریں، بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی شہر میں شجر کاری کے لیے اقدامات کررہی ہے اور شہر کے پارکس کو بھی بہتر اور سرسبز بنانے کا عمل جاری ہے، اس موقع پر پاکستان ڈیویلپمنٹ فورم کے ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر عمیر انصاری نے بتایا کہ ان کا ادارہ ماحولیاتی تبدیلیوں کے حوالے سے شہریوں میں آگہی فراہم کرنے پر کام کررہا ہے اور اسی سلسلے میں 8 جون کو عالمی یوم بحر کی مناسبت سے بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی کے اشتراک سے ویب نار کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس میں سمندر کی اہمیت اور اس کے تحفظ کی ضرورت کو اجاگر کیا گیا، ہمارے ساتھ بڑی تعداد میں شہر کے طالب علم رضا کار کے طور پر کام کررہے ہیں اور ہم جمہوریت کے حوالے سے آگہی، صحت اور آئین کی بالا دستی کے شعبوں میں بھی کام کررہے ہیں، جن سے مستقبل کے لیے بہتر لائحہ عمل بنانے میں مددملے گی، انہو ں نے کہا کہ ایڈمنسٹریٹر بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی کے مشکور ہیں کہ انہوں نے اس سلسلے میں مکمل تعاون فراہم کیا اور ہمارے وفد کو اپنے دفتر میں مدعو کرکے ہماری حوصلہ افزائی کی، آئندہ بھی بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی کے ساتھ مل کر ماحولیاتی بہتری کے لیے کام کرتے رہیں گے۔
Karachi, June 17: Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman has said that the world is facing the challenge of environmental & climate changes, if the environment is balanced and healthy, humans and animals will also be healthy. Situation in a big city like Karachi can be improved through better planning by preventing water and energy wastage. Pakistan development forum doing excellent job providing awareness to people about key issues, other institutions should also pay attention to this most important issue so that we can improve our country, province and city.
He said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Development Forum that called on him in his office on Saturday. Director PDF Dr. Umair Ansari led the delegation . Administrator Karachi also distributed certificates to the officials and volunteers of Pakistan Development Forum who played a role in providing awareness about the environment and organizing a webinar regarding the World Environment Day whereas on behalf of PDF Dr Umair presented the honorary shield to the Administrator Karachi and Senior Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid.
Administrator Karachi Dr Syed Saifur Rahman said that this year the theme of World Environment Day was to eliminate plastic pollution and improve the environment. Plastic is a good invention but its one-time use is a matter of concern because it is increasing the environmental and especially water pollution, so we have to minimize its use and come to traditional methods.
The proportion of forests in our country is less than 4%, so we should plant more trees and manage their growth and protection. The process of making it better and greener is also going on.
On this occasion, Director of Pakistan Development Forum Dr. Umair Ansari said that his organization is working on providing awareness among the citizens regarding environmental changes. And in this regard, on June 8, a webinar was organized in collaboration with the KMC on the occasion of World Ocean Day, highlighting the importance of the ocean and the need for its protection, he said his team has large number of students from the city working as a volunteer and we are also working in the areas of democracy awareness, health and constitutional supremacy which will help in making a better action plan for the future, he said that they are grateful to Administrator Karachi for providing full support in this regard and encouraging us by inviting our delegation to his office. Administrator Karachi also assured full support to Director of Pakistan Development Forum for his future endeavors.
